I've tested a lot of saddles in my quest for the perfect voicing and tone of an instrument. The vintage 3 saddle intonated style from CJ Tooling are in my opinion some of the best for function and sound. I've worked closely with Jim from CJ to find just the right alloys so that these saddles not only help you play in tune better but give you the best choices to "re-voice" your T style guitar. He's one of the only shops that offer the late 50's quarter inch and early 50's five sixteenth sizes in this angled configuration. Fine thread height adjustment screws combined with flat milled saddle bottoms give you improved adjustability. These are hand made on old style milling machines like the vintage variety. Old School is cool! I get a lot of compliments on these parts as used on my guitars and now CJ Tooling is making them available to you as well.

Saddle sets are offered at $25.00/set plus $6.00 insured postage. Contact CJ Tooling at the email address below. Money Order, Paypal, or Personal Check accepted.

Note: All orders are handled directly by CJ Tooling, not Jeff Senn Guitars. CJ Tooling is a separate company and Jeff Senn Guitars does not receive any payment from CJ Tooling for this endorsement. CJ Tooling is solely responsible for it's product, shipping, and customer service.

All saddles are angled for better intonation.
Available as of 9/1/09, CJ Tooling Danelectro replacement/upgrade bridge. Here’s a really well designed “drop in” bridge for your vintage or reissue Danelectro or Silvertone guitar or any other guitar that needs or could use a top mount bridge. Jim and Jeff Senn worked together on this product. It is a great way to add sustain, bolder tone, and better intonation to your Danelectro instrument. It is designed to fit your Danelectro without drilling new holes and can be installed in minutes. The bridge uses CJ’s highly acclaimed saddles so you have many options to custom tailor your tone (we are currently experimenting with wooden saddles to retain the classic Dano tone). Contact CJ Tooling for pricing and more information. Also, you must specify if you’re purchasing a bridge for a reissue baritone as a slightly different screw hole configuration is required. These can work great on Teiscos and other pawn shop style guitars that you may be rebuilding or re-voicing.

Please note, while the CJ Tooling Danelectro replacement bridge is designed to be a direct replacement there are certain situations that may require shimming the neck slightly or other minor adjustments to maximize the bridge’s potential. If you’re not handy with guitar setup work or tools professional installation is suggested.

Also note, these products are manufactured by CJ Tooling and are not to be represented as products of Danelectro.

quartsteel_small 1/4" cold rolled steel as used in the late 50's. Tone falls somewhere between classic brass and 5/16" steel. Lively, but not thin.

quartbrass_small 1/4" brass. Variation on the late 50's theme in brass. Slightly brighter and livelier. Great for adding some life to a rather dull sounding guitar.

quartalum_small 1/4" aluminum. Variation on the late 50's theme in aluminum. Mid's are more scooped than brass. Nice jangly and lively set.

fivesixsteel_small 5/16" cold rolled steel. Classic 1950 - early '51 blackguard tone. Great for pedal steel tones.
